Session 2: Zippers Aren’t Scary

Project: Zipper Pouch


Inserting a zipper, using interfacing, fabric layout, topstitching
We’ll tackle zippers together, step by step.

Zippered pouches make for a great second project.

Session 3 & 4: Patterns Demystified

Project: Elastic-waist shorts or skirt


Session 3:
Reading a pattern, choosing a size, fabric prep, layout
Session 4: Curved seams, elastic casing, seam finishing, hemming
A wearable beginner garment and your first pattern win

Session 4 & 5: Shape & Style

Project: Boxy Top


Session 5: Understanding ease, sewing curved seams, optional darts
Session 6: Facing or bias binding, hemming, reflective finish
A second garment project that stretches your skills and style
